Argiolas Perdera 2007 Red Wine
intense ruby red color of this wine is typical of Monica grape. Persistent aromas of ripened cherry, cassis, black pepper carry through to palate and are followed by sweet hints of chocolate and firm tannins. Very vibrant, rich and rustic. An excellent wine with spicy food, pasta with tomato or meat sauces, casseroles, and medium aged cheeses. 2007 Perdera is house's entry-level red. A blend of 90% Monica, 5% Carignano and 5% Bovale Sardo, (all indigenous varieties), it spends a brief sojourn of 5-6 months in French oak. This delicious, hearty red is loaded with dark red cherries, cracked black pepper, spices, licorice and herbs.
