Merryvale Profile 2004 Bordeaux Red Blends Wine
Profile is our flagship Bordeaux blend showcasing very best fruit from each vintage. Our favorite lots of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc are chosen for their concentration, depth of flavor and fine tannin structure to produce a wine that is rich, elegant and opulent. wine goes through native yeast and malolactic fermentation and is aged in primarily new French Oak barrels for 18 months before being bottled unfiltered. Blend: 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Petit Verdot, 7% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc. Aromas of black cherry, cassis and vanilla are interwoven with cedar and cocoa. On palate wine is rich and dense with a finish that is long and complex. This wine will age well for a decade and beyond. We recommend decanting wine in its youth. Our favorite pairings include grilled rib-eye, and herb encrusted rack of lamb. Connoisseurs' Guide rating: 90.
